Transformative Biotech has been selected as a finalist in the FDA Track of Startup Prize: Health 2026, one of the most competitive life sciences startup competitions in the country. This year’s competition drew 89 startups from 27 U.S. states and 4 countries, and Transformative Biotech is one of six finalists overall, and one of just three companies advancing in the FDA Track.
The company will compete in the “Final Final” round in Shreveport, Louisiana, August 14-16, where finalists will present to a panel of judges and investors.
Transformative Biotech is developing @ANYWHERE™, a handheld, smartphone-powered PCR testing platform designed to make rapid, accurate, and affordable molecular diagnostics accessible outside traditional lab settings. The company’s direct-to-PCR platform technologies eliminate the extraction step required by conventional PCR testing, reducing both time and cost without sacrificing accuracy.
“We’re honored to be recognized among such a strong field of innovators,” said Kevin Kraus, CEO of Transformative Biotech. “This is a meaningful step forward as we continue advancing PCR testing for infectious disease diagnostics.”
